(in-person or online)
-
Each player has joined the same Spyfall.Live room

Goal
-
Spy: Avoid exposure until the end of the round or
identify the current location.
-
Non-Spies: Establish consensus on the identity of
the spy and expose them.
How to play a round
-
Location: When the round starts, each player except
for the spy is told the location, and is given a role there. The spy
does not know the location.
-
Question: The player who started the round begins
by questioning a player of their choice about the location, for
example "How was your commute here today?
-
Answer: The questioned player must answer. No
follow up questions are allowed. After they answer they get to
question a different player. This continues until the round is over.
-
No Retaliation: If someone just finished asking you
a question, you can not immediately ask them a question back.
Winning as a non-spy
-
Vote: At any time, a player can call a vote to
declare someone the spy.
-
Unanimous: For a vote to be successful, everyone
must be in agreement (besides the suspect).
-
One Vote: Each player may only initate a vote
once per round. Use it wisely.
-
Successful Vote: If the vote passes, the
suspected player must reveal if they were the spy. If the spy was
successfully voted out, the non-spies win, otherwise, the spy
wins.
-
Failed Vote: If the vote fails, the game
continues. The player that called the vote may not call another
for the rest of the round.
Winning as a spy
-
The spy wins if they are able to keep their cover and do not get
voted out before the timer runs out.
-
The spy may also win at any point by announcing to the group that
they are the spy, and then succefully guess the location.
- Finally, the spy also wins if a non-spy is voted out.
